Diese Funktion ist gut etabliert und funktioniert auf vielen Geräten und in vielen Browserversionen. Sie ist seit Juli 2015 browserübergreifend verfügbar.
Die method schreibgeschützte Eigenschaft des SVGTextPathElement-Interfaces spiegelt das method-Attribut des angegebenen <textPath>-Elements wider. Es nimmt einen der auf diesem Interface definierten TEXTPATH_METHODTYPE_* Konstanten an.
