Seit December 2025 funktioniert diese Funktion auf aktuellen Geräten und in aktuellen Browserversionen. Auf älteren Geräten oder in älteren Browsern funktioniert sie möglicherweise nicht.
Die Eigenschaft ariaColIndexText des Element-Interfaces spiegelt den Wert des aria-colindextext-Attributs wider, welches einen für Menschen lesbaren Text als Alternative zu aria-colindex definiert.

In diesem Beispiel wird das aria-colindex-Attribut des Elements mit der ID role-heading auf "Aria Role column" gesetzt. Mit ariaColIndexText ändern wir den Wert auf den String "New column name".
